The first betting round in the hold’em game is referred to as the pre flop that happens after the first two cards have been issued. The betting begins from the player who is on the left of the blinds. The players can then take the various betting actions.

Atter the first betting is done, the player then go to the second betting round which is referred to as the flop. The casino attendant then removes the top card. This is a casino strategy to ensure that a player who saw the card accidentally does not have an advantage over the others.

The third round is referred to as the turn. Here the casino attendant removes the top card just like in the second round. The dealer would also drop a card to make four including the three that were dropped in the second round; after this, another betting round takes place.

The fourth and the final betting round is referred to as the river. Here the dealer removes the top card again just like in the above cases then drop another card facing up to make a total of five cards facing up on the gambling table. Adding to the two cards at hand, the gamblers can make any combination of cards and they should show their cards beginning from the person who placed the bet first.

The betting structure varies depending on the type of the game you are playing. A limit game for example has its bet fixed to a particular amount in every round. Increments are made of the same amount after every round. This is the most recommended game for those new in the hold’em game.

There is another type of a game which is a combination of the fixed limit and the no limit games. It is referred to as the pot limit Texas hold’em. Here, you can make a maximum amount of bet at any time but the mount should not exceed the amount in the pot.
